Thanks for your response to this blog ent...@Chazn:

Thanks for your response to this blog entry!

I've made it clear in all of my blog entries that "bloodline" is not what makes one a "true" and "real Jew." As a matter of fact, I consider myself to be a "real" Jew, because I accept Jesus as the Messiah and as my Savior.

People like "Asherstein" refer to themselves as "real" Jews simply because of his bloodline, and he fully rejects Jesus. As a Christian, it is my job to rebuke those who make heretical statements as Asherstein has. I'm sure you can agree with me on that point. What heretical statements am I referring to? His blatant rejection of Jesus!

The book of Titus admonishes Christians to rebuke Judaism. More information about that is here: "The New Testament is CRYSTAL clear about Judaizing & Judaism!":
http://survivebeyondearth.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-new-testament-is-crystal-clear.html

In your last statement, "All Israel will be saved" is fully stated in the Bible (Ref to: Romans 11:26)! HOWEVER, *who* is "Israel?" How does the Bible defined the "Israel of God?" Hint: It is *ALL* who accept Jesus as the Messiah, that's who!

Learn more here: "Just who are the REAL Jews? YOU might be one and not know it!":
http://survivebeyondearth.blogspot.com/2013/02/just-who-are-real-jews-you-might-be-one.html

The true "Israel" is NOT that little 1948 nation that has seen absolutely no redemption. Learn more here: The "Israel of God":
http://survivebeyondearth.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-new-israel-of-god.html

With hardhearted people like Asherstein, my job is to awaken him (and self-proclaimed "Jews" like him) to see the light. The "love" that I give him is "tough love." Not the wimpy "love" that so other Christians think I should give!

Again, thanks for your comments!

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03567876993176986237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2775720021461824048.post-30089160595904064202013-11-29T22:47:28.781-05:002013-11-29T22:47:28.781-05:00I'm grieved by your post for a number of reaso...I'm grieved by your post for a number of reasons. I came to believe in Jesus over 40 years ago and have consequently been alienated from the people I love. My sister suggested that I go to the place from where I've fervently been praying she might, by the end of her life escape through faith.

I think of overall salvation of the Jewish community as sort of a 33 rpm vinyl record. On one side of the record is Yes... they do not believe. On the other side of the record is... they've been helped by the Church in their unbelief.

I saw an interesting video a while back in which the instructor, made a digression about Joseph as a type of Christ. He went on to delineate a number of similarities between the two. One of them, of course, was "Joseph was not recognized by his brothers" and "Christ is not recognized by his brethren". At which point he raised the rhetorical question "Why?" The answer, I think is pretty plain in scripture. Joseph was dressed as an Egyptian!!! He wore Egyptian clothing, he was probably clean shaven and he had attained to high ranks within Egyptian culture. In the same manner, The Jewish people don't accept Jesus as their Messiah (people like me being an exception). And why? The church has presented Jesus as a Gentile (metaphorically an Egyptian). I could date this back to probably earlier than Augustine where I spotted anti-semitism in his "City of God". It was carried further with the 1st Counsel of Nicea which had absolutely no Jewish representation and Constantines letters were blatantly anti-semitic (probably fomented by the Bar-Kochba rebellion about 100 years earlier. The 2nd Counsel of Nicea (I believe ~ 7th century) essentially said "If you want to be a Christian you have to give up all ties to being Jewish."

I do not know where you stand on the issue of replacement theology. But Paul admonished the Gentile church at Rome not to boast itself against the natural branches... the Jews who are "the enemy" but nevertheless, remain "the beloved" of God.

Your friend, Asherstein has been told that his identity... his very soul rests on his rejection of Jesus. And he's been told this by people who are infinitely closer to him than some stranger who wants to try to try to win some sort of argument. I've spent over 2/3 of my life trying to communicate to him that that is not what makes him a Jew and, on the contrary, it is belief in Jesus that is the fulfillment of the Jewish experience. I've found supportive people who've claimed faith in Christ and I've found hindrances to my work who've made the same claim. I can make no judgment concerning one's salvation but I have a great deal of difficulty with Christians who have a "them / us" attitude towards the Jewish people. I certainly hope that you feel that all Gentiles are not Christians. Jews confuse the two.

At this point, I might simply close with what God said through Isaiah concerning Israel "“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!"

Jesus' love for the very people who hate Him is everlasting and one day they shall all know Him. Zech 12 and 14 are a good proof text for that position, even as Paul said... "All Israel will be saved!"chaznhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08236992756339227797noreply@blogger.com
